Giraffe

After all the raw conversions I did lately, I decided to try some old fashion slide scanning again.

Here's a shot I took in South Africa, just before sunset. Taken with my F100, 20-40mm, Sensia II and a beanbag.

There is some motion blur in the tail due to the relatively long shutterspeed, which wasn't planned for, but which I do like. It doesn't show in the small image though.

Stunning work, Marsel. I don't have a single nit, blurred tail notwithstanding.

Absolutely stunning composition, perfect techs. I'm guessing the motion blur in the tail takes this shot "live". It sure makes the top line of the silhouette more interesting. great photography. :toast:

You had a lovely sky that day!
The giraffe has a perfect position in the image!

That would be great without the giraffe. Now it's exceptional. Very well composed.

What I said earlier, twice over. Congrats on your EP. I don't think there could have been any other contender in this category. Beautiful.
