This was a handheld Macro shot of a Wood Anemone that i wasn't completely happy enough with for the Flora or Macro forum, so I thought it would work nicely with Kent's modified Orton. This is my first Orton attempt too. I hope it works for you!

Very nice, Michelle. (What else could I say? ) Seriously, it has a nice glow, but more importantly, I like the way the oof bg mirrors the shapes of the white petals. Almost phychedlic.

By the way, I think it was Guy Tal who dubbed this technique "Newtonize."

Michelle, I really like this, beautiful, soft, and your comp was outstanding to begin with which IMO is what really makes orton work. I love the way the leaves mirror the petals. Great eye to see and capture it. Whoops, I guess I could have just agree with Kent about the BG. Maybe I should read comments first. :toast: :toast: :toast:
