Hi,
One of my favourite subjects.
The New Forest,England is an area consisting of 144 square miles of mixed habitat containing heath, coniferous and deciduous forests.
It is one of only a handful of areas in the UK where ponies are allowed to run wild and free across mainly unfenced land.
This New Forest mare came galloping across the heath, probably looking for one of her companions, she came to an abrupt halt and the alert posture is a result of seeing me at the last minute crouched amongst the gorse and heather where I was photographing deer at the time.
All comments always welcome and appreciated.

9 commentsI spent many happy weekends in the New Forest as a teenager (PPD - pre-photography days), it's a beautiful area of S. England!.
Looks like a framer to me.
Many thanks for looking and commenting.
Much appreciated.
