WC #250 Diffuse Reflections

I took this last week along the Kangamangus Highway. A bus tour showed up at lower falls, and people scattered all ower the rocks like ants, limiting my river shots for about 15 minutes. I sat down on one such slab of granite, and noticed these reflections.

Ripples were washing over the rock at the bottom at about a 4 second interval, so I set the shutterspeet to match that, ensuring some water on the rock. The leaf had washed into that location, but I placed it a bit better into the frame...

Perhaps more abstract than the intention of the theme...?!

The leaf really enhances this, Jim, IMO. I like the shutter speed you selected and I like the softness from top to the ripples effect on the bottom of the water. Nicely done.

Simple, yet elegant, and very well thought and conceptualised. Very "introspective" in my opinion, yet beautiful!

Rarely are tourists a source of inspiration. I love the water effect and the colors throughout the photo as well as the composition.
