Old trees

Well, they are not that old compared to those famous trees in some US National park or from south India. Unfortunately this part of the forest is cut down for another 'concrete jungle'. Some 100+ years of growth gone in few days.

Beautiful shot Prashant. I expecially like the broken trunk on the left. Sorry to hear that it was cut down, but glad you captured it!

Prashan, so sad to hear of this constant drive to eliminate forests and other natural wonders. I cannot imagine the amount of lost capacity to clean the air these trees had provided over the years. I guess I can finish by saying it is a nice image overall, it might have been a good one for the Environmental images for NPN too.

I like the mist and the fading lines of the trunks.

I love the way the trees fade into the fog.

Well, everyone offering comments so far has spoken for me as well. This is beautiful, and I'll add that i especially like the muted reds and delicate branches at the FG. Heartbreaking story and enough "progress" going on like this to make me real  Thank you for this (now) historical photograph.
