I still have my childhood Brownie camera. I'm a life-long birder, hiker, and bicyclist. I'm a scientist by profession and love the American southwest where I live (Henderson, Nevada). Lately, I've discovered international travel. Here I am in central Iceland on a rare clear day. Goal: photograph (well) all the 600+ North American bird species I've seen through binoculars. I'm glad to be here.

Hi Scott,

I replied to your message on my photo post. Must be something about Landmannalauger, it was our only day without rain as well. My brother and I saw a lot of birders when we were ther in June/July, mostly English. Did you have a successful trip?
