Snowdrops Galanthus nivalis
1DII, 180/3.5 Macro, 1/1000@f/3.5
Cable release, reflector.

Spring must be here..the sun is shining and the snowdrops are out  - finally a chance to get out and do a bit of photography after a miserable, wet and windy winter here in the UK.

Nick: I really like the play of light here. The DOF and comp are very effective. Nicely done. >=))>

With the lighting and DOF... they just show up beautifully. I like the off center also.

Nice job. I always search for these first signs of life in the spring, but we're still several weeks away where I live.

Nice capture Nick, the light plays well off the blooms. I like the rich colors of the bg too, well done!

Nick, the thing that I like more is the emotive and mysterious atmosphere created by the very narrow focus and soon after the simplicity of the composition helped by the blurred background. A pleasant and impressive photo for me.
Take care.

Congratulations on the EP! I somehow missed this the first time around. Great spot lighting on your subject flowers, nice and soft golden light. Great job! (the northeast is still months away from seeing these... can't wait)

Hi Nick

Keep saying every winter must do something special with the Snowdrops and never do. This is fantastic, how I wish it were mine!
