A tree with an interesting flower - native I believe of Boliva. The flower really does look like a red powder puff when viewed in it's entirety.

Steve...

This is mesmerizing! Aside from the red color, this reminds me of the flower from a Mimosa Tree which is pink...great capture!

Spectacular flower! Reminds me of a sparkler. The red is brilliant and I think you did well to keep some detail in it. What a fun image. Good celebration greeting card perhaps.... Just a thought....

A beatiful capture of an appearance made by the light glow in the red and the yellow pins explosion. Steve, it reminds me of astral pictures and designs. Very impressive.
Take care.

Steve,

Is this a Bottlebrush tree?

A great capture and wonderful flecks of gold.

This is not a bottlebrush tree although the flower is somewhat similar at least in color and form. Unlike the bottlebrush tree however this flower is completely spherical. It has been in a greenhouse for at least 20 years. Thanks for all your comments.
