Wow. This is one of the more stunning photos of the canyon that I've seen in recent years! Stitching is really coming into its own, I think. THis shot really works for me!

A tremendously grand vista made possible by some seamless stitching and great clouds.

I hate to say this, but there are some glaringly obvious stitch lines, both straight and curved, in the sky. I'm guessing you panned against the wind, which makes cleanly stitched clouds incredibly difficult to achieve.

Out of curiosity, what software did you use to perform the stitching?

Thanks for all you comments. Troy, thanks for pointing out the stitching. I get blinded by familiarity and sometimes don't see the obvious. For example, the upper area about two thirds in from the left. You're right about the skies revealing any stitching problems and wind being a big factor. What I find most difficult to deal with are the continuous sections of cloud that appear to be torn, where the integrity of the surface is pulled apart over a large area. One can clone over these areas but that's not wholly satisfactory. BTW the stitching program I use is PT GUI. Thanks again.

Lincoln, This is an interesting panoramic view. My initial reaction to the photo is there's almost too much to take in. I 'spect I'll be back to look at this a second and a third time.

I like the inclusion of the guard rail in the LR and I'm very glad it's black and white.

Boy, this is one photo, I would like to see closeup and personal rather than view in 72 DPI.
