I was photographing one rough leg on a power pole when this other one, perched on a low tree caught my eye. I was lucky as it was near an area where I could park my car and shoot out the window. I was really excited just to get some nice perched shots, when it took off and I managed this one. I added a bit of canvas on top, cropped it for comp and cloned out one small branch. Taken in the Samish Flats of Washington last week.

20D 500IS+1.4X 1/3200 F5.6 iso 400, Handheld out car window.

You really nailed this one, Nate! I believe this is a much better than average hawk in the air photo. (And you've even got the stick :biggrin: that was his perch!!!)

So let me see now, we got a stick, a perfect bird, but it's not a bird on a stick... I think I like this one!!! :biggrin:
