Ahh springs around the corner. Shot these this week. Tried the 300/4 instead of my simga 180 since it was already on the camera.

Looks nice Randy! Maybe needs to be a stop lighter IMHO (but it could be my monitor)

thanks Joshua. I didn't want to blow out the whites in the flowers.

IMO the whites are near perfect on this Randy. I cant wait to use my 300/4 on flowers - and really look forward to the season. Snowdrops lend themselves to a pleasing arching comp and you nailed this one well. I am not a purist and probably would have cloned out the dirt spots on the uppermost bloom. Nice capture!

Very nice, I like the opened buds, but think the unopened buds really make the image - the sense of what's to come. Great clean background and nice position of the stem in the corner to create the diagonal line.

Randy,
Only 6 comments!!!!!!!!!!Just doesn't make any sense with a great shot like this. You chose the perfect plant with just the right flowers. Image clarity and that background are super. A very pleasing image. Wish I had the opportunity to shoot one of these. But I don't think they grow down in S. La. And you shot it with my favorite lens, great work, one to be proud of.

You've certainly kept all the detail in the highlights like you said you wanted, but somehow it feels a bit dark and slightly underexposed maybe about a 1/3rd or half a stop. The composition is real pretty, softly OOF background and good work. I'd maybe clone out the 3 dirt spots on the center bloom if you were going for a print.

Exposure looks dead on to me - and my monitor is calibrated. Beautiful and elegant composition. Nice work.
