Hi Everyone,

This is another image from a few weekends ago. it was taken at a local manor house and gardens. They had a lot of different colour Iris's and it had shortly stopped raining so there were droplets on everything.

I have had some good news this week, one of my images was in a UK photography magazine this is my first image to be in a magazine and i have been doing photography for less than a year so i'm really pleased!

Techs-
Nikon D200
28-300 Macro@300mm
Handheld.

Thank you for comments on my last upload i really appriciate you help and comments as i am so new to photography!

Thanks,
RachelEmma :wavey:

Rachel: Congratulations on the publication. Good on you. This is drop dead gorgeous. I especially like the bud growing alongside the main bloom. 2 + thumbs up! >=))>

The photographer and the Nature have made a great work toghether. The transparent petals full of water seem to have watered the colors too. The tonalities of yellow and blue make a splendid marriage. I think that this picture too deserves to be published. Really brava Rachael!
Take care.

Love the lines on that yellow falls petal. Might take a look at cropping the top to just above the lower to water drops on the blue petal at left in order to minimize the shape and thus distraction of the background oof petal. ...David

Congrats on the publication Rachel. This is a nice composition, especially for such a difficult flower to shoot - irises are just so large that I find them a tough one to shoot. Nice color too.

Congratulations! For a newcomer to photography, I'd say you have the eye for it! This is a lovely comp with the complimentary blue and yellow and the new unfurled flower tucked right in. The way you saw the petals is great too-- like a ballet with graceful movements of the 'limbs' up and back, back and out, and the 'tah-dah!' of the vertical blue at the left. Very lyrical. Very special. Well done.
