AKA Tunnel Falls

Columbia River Gorge...

This is probably my favorite waterfall so far....its not easy to photograph because of its size and location....

there is a very small handrail that is hard to see. so that's why its in man and nature!

Thanks for looking and leaving a comment

Beautiful, soft, and inviting, Darren.

I'd like to visit it.

Thanks for sharing this image.

This is the best waterfall shot yet ! Too bad it is in Man & Nature as this would really do well in ESS

A very nice capture of the falls, Darren. The greens & yellows, especially in the foreground, appear to be a bit too intense to me. Its probably just direct sunlight but it looks like the saturation was boosted a bit too much (the sun is so low in Alaska that I rarely see direct sunlight in canyons so its probably only un-natural to me). A beautiful scene though and the exposure on the waterfall is right on the money.

This is a great perspective on these falls, Darren. I like how the trail leads you around. Probably your best processing work I've seen as well. Nice job all around.

I actually prefer this version to the others you've posted. Makes for a nice stock shot and would make for a great one by including a person on the trail. Nice stuff.

I like the soft and glowing colors here. The overcast day was definitely a plus for you.

Man I wish we had waterfalls like this in my area... this image really makes this look like an enchanting location to visit. At first I was going to say, I wish there was a tad more of that trail to lead my eye in, but after looking at this, I think that the grasses just to the left of the trail work just fine as a visual path. Works for me.

What a super waterfall! The lead-in from the trail and the added perspective it (and the grass) gives along the right edge are great compliments to the waterfall. If there isn't a reason not to (I don't know, having never been there), I think turning the camera ever so slightly to the right to keep the trail from running so long against the edge might be nice.

This is gorgeious, Darren. Love the detail and subtle color in the splash pool, too, along with what others have said. Well deserving of the EP. Congratulations. :toast:
