This flowers are very small. Even at f/32, it's hard to get everything in focus.

Mike, You should be proud of the depth of field management here. This is just superb with the water drops putting this over the top .

Mike, this is excellant. If I have any nits, it would be to crop a tiny bit off the top, but without seeing that way I'm not certain you should. Beautiful image.

Just WONDERful Michael. I agree with Ram, the DOF management here is great. A beautifully captured shot.

Very nice Michael. Is that after rain or just dew? Where does your species live? Out here in California, our same name species is more purple than blue but like yours have lines on the petals and the sharp petal tips. Below specimen is against an orange California poppy:

I love this images, Michael. Wonderful color contrast and the details are right on. Of course, the water droplets adds a wonderful touch. Great dof, too.

Superb image in every respect, Mike. The diagonal placement of the stem and the OOF BG are spot on while the water drops on the flower petals top off a wonderful image.

Thanks to all for the comments. These are from northeastern Maryland, David. This is after a light rain. I managed to find a few that weren't knocked over from the weight of the water. The stems are so flimsy, it doesn't take much. Your specimen is very nice.

Wow! I missed this first time through Flora Michael, so I'm really pleased that you received the MP for this shot. Outstanding image in all respects and very much deserving of this weeks' pick! Congrats!

Michael, the color, comp, curve, bg, dof and the dew all come together to make one REALLY lovely photo! One of my favorite flowers too. I see why it won the EP that week. That's the year I was really sick and therefore missed it but I am sure glad I saw it now!
