1dmk2, iso 200, 1/500 at f10, 300f2.8 plus 2x. Tripod. Taken close to noon to throw the bg into darkness. I've been playing with natural lighting on my pond flowers. Thanks for looking. Opinions are always appreciated.

Absolutely gorgeous! Dramatic lighting, surprising reflection, and the depth of field (with f/10) is perfect.

Dramatic light and mood here, Renae. This is certainly a different take on a water lily. This is being real nitpicky, but have you considered cloning out the couple of flies? on the lower petals? Wonderful reflection BTW.

Ranae, I think the flower and it's reflection are exquisite. I like how you have handled the colors. Very nice. The only nit I'll pick with theis image is the beads of water at the frong of the Lily pad. They make the Lily pad look a little bit like plastic IMO.

I really like this one, Renae. The right edge feels a bit tight to me would be my only nit.

Now I have seen it Renae, beautiful! I love the light breaking the darkness, so full of emotion and mistery. The work is splendid, bravissima.
Take care.

I feel honored to have been chosen this week, especially given the level of work presented on this gallery. What a surprise to come home after a long day and see this here. Thank you, and I also thank everyone who took the time to comment. Mark, I have a little more on the right and I have since added it. Thank you.

Beautiful!! I've been trying to figure out how to shoot my water lilies, and this certainly is just the type of shot I've tried (and failed) to get. :toast:
