The elegant calla, just like a model, never stops to offer to the photographers endless new chances.

Back to Rimini by the sea. In the greenhouse near home.

D2X, Nikkor F/200mm. micro - f/32 and ISO 200, exp. Spot +1,0 EV

Thanks very much for comments and advices.

Wonderful use of the folds of the petals, the lines...A very intimate view Gigi. I really like it!

Looks like we are playing hide and seek, Gigi. Very creative use of graceful lines to display a beautiful flower.

This is so beautiful, perhaps the best I've seen. I like the faint OOF lines ascending in the background too.

The lines and folds of the petals are the perfect envelope for the yellow center. Well done!

Gigi, the detail in the petals is terrific. Love the flow of lines and the subtle tones in the white. I like this one.

I've tried to see the picture in B&W. It enhances the play of the lines. If someone will see the new version: does he like it? Thanks

Gigi: A masterful comp and capture of perhaps my favorite flower. Elegantly beautiful. I think the B&W is OK but the color version is far better IMO. >=))>

If only I could find such and elegant flower in my part of the world. The three layers of petals works great and the placement of the dark shading in the lower corner helps to balance the bold subject. A simple and perfect image...
