Hi All,
I signed up on NPN yesterday, and thought I'd say hello.
I've referenced this forum often in the past, but being busy with my own community have never taken the plunge. I was also looking for somewhere to market some stock images, and the partnership with PhotoPortfolios.net here at NPN seemed to make a lot of sense, as well as being able to get involved in this community too.
Originally from England, I live and work in Tokyo, Japan. I have a main job, but work hard at my photography too. My main income as a photographer is from selling fine art prints and stock, and I've also started doing Photography Workshops here in Japan, mainly catering for visitors from outside of Japan. Not wanting to jump straight into a plug, if anyone is interested, you can check out the details of my next Wildlife Photography Workshop in Hokkaido next January at my
MBP Workshops Web site.
I'm a Canon shooter, and have been for the last 16 years. I shoot many genres but specialize in nature and wildlife. Japan often gives rise to images of bustling cities and ladies in kimono, which of course it has, but it is also an incredibly beautiful country from a nature perspective, and I feel very lucky to be able to live and work here.
I'll be putting together my Portfolio on PhotoPortfolios.net very soon, so please take a look if you have a minute.
Sorry about this, I will start to contribute to the forums too very soon, but I also thought that some of you might be interested in my
Photography Podcast too. There are over 100 episodes in the archives, covering all kinds of photography technique as well as discussing my photographic adventures interleaving tips and techniques. You can download the files directly from my Web site or
subscribe in iTunes.
I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all. I see many traits here that are prevalent in my own forum. You all seem very professional, warm, respectful and giving, which is rare in Internet communities these days.
