I made this image on Sunday. It is winter here now - early morning light was very beautiful. It is tiny butterfly - sorry not sure of its name.
Image details - Nikon D200, Nikon 105mm f2.8 Micro plus two PK-13 extension tubes, 1/160sec @ f11 @ iso400, little bit of built-in fill flash, close to full frame. If you want to see it big (with better definition of dew drops) it is
here.
As always thanks in advance for your views.

I'll take a stab at the ID. Looks like a member of the Hairstreak and Blues family, the Lycanidae, a worldwide group. Here's a Wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycaenidae

No, I'm not an Entomologist. I collected bugs when I was a kid.
Wow, top notch. Very good decision to go with the backlight and fill flash. I really like this one. My only wish would be that you could have got the bottom part of the stem in focus. Minor Nit.
Ronnie, Thanks for your views - I agree with you on DOF. It was very tough being very close to ground - I had to struggle a lot get the right plane. The other image was slightly better I guess from DOF perspective but as you said I prefer this one more for its backlighting and fill flash effects.. To make it more interesting the sun was fast rising early in the morning affecting the back lighting mood, I was in a hurry too!
Thank you all for your views !
Brilliant Photo, its got your stamp. You do work wonders with light.
