Snow and frigid temperatures have descended upon northern Alberta but so have these wonderful birds descended upon my backyard again this winter.
D200, 200-400VR + 1.4 @ 550, 1/80, f8, +0.3 EV, tripod. Cropped from left and right sides slightly for composition.

Beautiful capture, Gary! Great to be able to take this from your backyard! Looks like it was snowing when you took this. I noticed the Snow Buntings have also returned to the open fields of Alberta.

Excellent capture Gary! I like the flurries in the background and snow covered conifers. Sure hope some of these venture south this winter. Beautiful photo.

Like the color coordination. The rose color of bird against the bg and snow really jumps out,
Nice job, Gary.

Gotta love this. Low contrast monochromatic with the bird's color thrown in. Love the snow and perch. Great work.
