Needed to repost this for Jim, at his request. It disappeared off the server.

Bob, thanks for reposting this! Jim made two bonehead maneuvers; First, he accidently moved this Editor's Pick image into the Staff Showcase instead of the Editor's Pick forum (and didn't realize it at first). Not seeing the image in the Editor's Pick gallery, he scratches his hollow little pin head wondering what happened, and then moves it there.

Then, a few day ago, one of the staff members asked what the image was doing in the Staff Showcase. In bonehead maneuver number two, Jim deletes the image from the Staff Showcase, forgetting that the delete function is server wide, not just forum specific. Bob's image and all comments were zapped.

Jim is a bonehead.

Jim will now move this back to the Editor's Picks gallery. :toast:

Bob, my apologies for the screw up.

sorry to hear the story and the loss of comments. I did not comment on that photo as it is the first time that I see it and I really like it! This is so well composed and artistic! the little wood log and its reflection are really adding something to this already beautiful photo. :toast:

a great image in all ways. The basic idea is superb, the composition is very well balanced, the midtones are wonderfully varied, the saturation is just right. I suppose you have tried this, but I wonder if it might be even better if the blacks were just a teeny bit darker. On my monitor, I don't think I am seeing any 100% blacks. But again, I am guessing that you have played with Levels and gotten what you think is best.

This is absolutely excellent, thanks for reposting it.
