For us, in Saskatchewan, the first pussy willows are always a harbringer of good things to come. (I have posted a similar looking image on the weekly challenge, couldn't decide which I liked best.)

Nikon D300, Nikkor 200 Macro, A-4.5, SS-1000, light bounced back onto the branch.

Thanks for looking and comments would be bonus.

Spectacular, May! Bouncing the light back on the branch really brought this alive. Bg is wonderful in the way it sets off the subject; the oof branch is good paralleling the main one.

Very nice and superbly sharp. Those fuzzy pussy willows just ask to be touched.

What a beautiful, classic shot. The color and light is superb, not to mention the terrific bg. A very ecstatic image and wonderfully crafted.

This is just wonderful May! I love the earthy tones of the shot. Great POF and DOF too! I think your frame sets it off nicely.

What a beautiful image May! The light tones are splendid and the highlights very well controlled. A great harmony of felicate colors and a suggestive background. I like it very much.
Cheers.

Very nice, although I would probably have removed the white area sticking in from the bottom of the frame and chose a slightly warmer WB. Congrats on the EP!
