A departure from my typical outdoor endeavours.

To me this is somewhat reminiscent of a plate in the old Audubon books.

Not sure how you did this, but I like it. I agree completely about it looking like a plate drawing. If you can repeat the technique with other flowers, it would make a nice series.

Will, I agree about the Audubon comment. I like how very edges of the open flowers blend into the background lightness. I like how you have separated every stalk and there are no merges. The flowers look so fragile and delicate. Nicely composed image that is a pleasure to view. Thanks for sharing. Larry

Lovely image set against the high key look, colors are great and I like the stems jutting about in your comp. :toast: :toast:

Really stunning Will. I'm generally not fond of "studio" photography when it comes to nature, but this is a clear exception. Beautifully composed and executed!

The delicacy of shapes, colors and light is fantastic. But what I like more is the apparent disorder of the composition. Beautiful!!
Cheers.

I love it Will - especially the translucent look to the blooms. A really nicely pulled off shot.

You know something M8t, Cindy posted a Japanese styled shot over next door in the artie clinic and its a style I just adore. This shot right here, reminds me of that style again. Simply stunning Will. Very gentle blends going on in this. You probably have a fair idea on my lines of photography vs art and how tough I'm on it personally, well this is where nature meets art, simple fact in my book.

All the best Will, its a magical closeup world you have in this :toast: :toast: :toast:
