Hello NPN,
My name is Martin Bartsch , I'm originally from the southern lands of Chile. The long and skinny country that will captivate you with it's beauty. (Hence, go take pictures there)
hehe! For the last 8 years I've lived in the Pacific North West because it reminds me of home the most.
I've been an amateur photographer for many years, using a couple of cameras like the Olympus C-750 and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3. Recently I decided to step it up a bit and got myself a Nikon D60. I'm very eager to learn from the community at NPN. I love the art of photography but I've never been very technical about it, I understand the concepts of aperture and shutter speed, white balance and exposure but I would like to become more familiar with the actual numbers so I can push my creativity to the next level. I don't have a whole lot of experience shooting full manual mode. My main focus has been on composition and capturing good lighting when possible. Looking forward to learning all about my D60's capabilities.
...oh yeah I almost forgot, I'm 26 years of age.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I'm happy to be posting and being a member of NPN. Like Paul said, I'm on a quest to improve my skills and my thought process when taking photos. The equipment upgrade I recently got should help me in my questing.
