I live in Anchorage, Alaska (with my lovely wife Charlotte)and have been an avid amatuer
photographer for approximately the past 10 years.
I'm just getting together a portfolio for the first time, with hopes that one day I'll be
able to make a decent living as a full time nature photographer. I've had a few
images published, including the cover shot of the Italian edition of
"The best of nature photography" published by Amherst media.
I started on a Nikon 35mm system, switched to a Canon EOS system a few years ago, and now
shoot primarily with a Canon 10D digital body (though still shoot some velvia with my EOS3).
I consider myself fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, with plenty of wildlife, and an abundance of scenic opportunities.
My wife and I have also gotten the travel bug the last few years, traveling through the beautiful United States Southwest, and to the incredibly beautiful Mexican Mayan Riviera. We also visit family often in Michigans Upper Penninsula, an area I was fortunate to call home for 20 years.
