My love for photography was spawned in the mid 1970's when as a teenager I received my first camera - A Canon AE-1.

For a few years I became an avid photographer, predominantly shooting family type of photos even though back then it was a very expensive hobby to pursue.
As I recall, a single print, 36 exposure roll cost around $15.00 to develop... expenses added up quickly! Remember Fotomat? lol.

In any case, in my 20's life got in the way of my photography. Time for photography seemed to have become real scarce.
Now in my 50's, and having more time on my hands, the flame has once again been re-ignited.

I have dusted off my camera(Canon 7D),and started discovering for the very first time the astonishing diversity of wildlife that can be found within a 75 mile radius of the nation's 4th largest city.

I do not pretend to be a professional photographer, and I do believe I see some of the shortcomings in my photos rather clearly. However, I do believe that an upgrade in equipment, particularly lenses, will go a long, long way in getting me up to the next level in IQ.
