Welcome to my on-line portfolio.
I've had an interest in photography since about age 12, when my dad gave me his old SLR. I've been learning on my own about photography ever since, and enjoy the challenge of learning new techniques. After swearing I'd never go digital, I did just that, and now I can't imagine ever going back to film. I am happiest when I'm behind my camera lens, and it is a great stress reliever.
My interest in photography only intensified after meeting my husband, who introduced me to the great outdoors and hiking. He's taken me places I never imagined I'd see, and it has fueled my passion for outdoor photography. I seek to capture nature's beauty with my camera, whether it be a grand mountain scene or a simple wildflower. I especially enjoy photographing flowers. Old barns and courthouses are other favorite photographic subjects.
I use a Canon Rebel XTI. My equipment bag contains a Canon 35-80 mm lens, Canon 10-22 mm lens, Canon 70-200 mm lens, Promaster 100 mm macro lens, 2X teleconverter, extension tubes, circular polarizers, ND and GND filters, a plamp, a collapsible diffuser/reflector, and a Manfrotto tripod/Kirk ballhead.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio, and I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoyed taking them! Please also visit my web site via the link on my portfolio page.
