Martin is a semi-professional photographer working from Tokyo, Japan, shooting mainly nature and wildlife, though works in many photographic genres. His largest client for stock photography to date was Korean Air, who used one of Martin’s eye catching images of a Japanese Red-Crowned Crane from Hokkaido on the cover of one of their brochures.
Martin is the creator of the Martin Bailey Photography web site, with a Photography Forum frequented by more than a 1,000 photographers ranging from beginner to professional, who communicate in a civil and respectful way - a rare thing in the Internet age. Much of the success of his Photography Forum community comes from Martin’s weekly Photography Podcast.
Martin also teaches photography, with workshops in Japan, helping non-native Japanese photographers to overcome the language barrier and enjoy shooting in some of the most beautiful locations Japan, indeed the world, has to offer, while improving your own photography.
Also an accomplished printer, Martin sells top quality fine art prints directly from his Web site. The most popular prints are of the Japanese nature and wildlife that is so prominent in his work. For the prints, Martin uses 100% cotton rag, archival print paper, which he then ships around the globe.
