Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I am a native of Colorado and have been enjoying beautiful mountain scenery my whole life. My family always appreciated the beauty of the natural world, and from the time I was very young, I too gained a love of being outdoors. Over the years I've spent time in the mountains hiking, camping, skiing, showshoeing, climbing and snowcaving. Now most of the time I spend out in nature is done with a view to capturing its indescribable beauty in photographic images. I feel fortunate to live in a place as scenically diverse and beautiful as Colorado, but especially so as the mountains are a favorite subject of mine.
Years ago I became a landscape painter, combining my love for the outdoors with my love of art. That was perhaps a natural step toward my becoming a nature photographer. Once I became serious about photography, my appreciation for nature opened up in a way it had not before. Photography has helped me to see even more of the grand and yet subtle beauty that exists in so many places on this planet. It is my hope that through photography I can capture and share at least a small sense of the wonder of these places with others.
I currently use high end digital equipment to produce the images you see here. Through my website I offer fine art prints of many of my favorite images. For pricing, print options or any questions or comments, please contact me at info@bobdentphotography.com.
