Hi,
I was brought up in home where art and wildlife were big, my dad had done photography and so I had some old gear to play with. I got a film enlarger out of the loft and played at photography in my bedroom. It was short a lived but an interesting introduction, the limiting factor was funds. It was a few years before I had a good reliable camera which I used mainly for holidays and family photos, although I did enjoy photographing bugs. It was a friend at work who introduced me to the potential of digital. With digital the learning curve was steep, but the instant feedback ensures super fast learning.
So technically I'm OK but now its the creativity and opportunity which are the boundries to over come.
