Brad is a part-time freelance wildlife and nature photographer originally from Minnesota, now living in Denver, Colorado. His love for photography developed from his childhood passion of nature and the outdoors. In his youth, Brad found himself inextricably drawn to nature. While growing up he found solace from the trials of life while in the company of nature. Although he has photographed everything from landscapes to wildflowers, he concentrates his efforts on wildlife and finds photographing wildlife to be his true passion. He is fascinated with the beauty, diversity, and behavior of animals and he strives to capture all of this in his images.
For over 15 years now, Brad has been photographing nature, while at the same time enjoying his career as a wildlife biologist. He takes whatever time he can to photograph and is energized by the time he spends with nature. Drawing from his experience as a wildlife biologist, he approaches photographing North America’s wildlife and wild places with a unique artistic vision. He feels blessed to have the opportunity to capture beautiful images of nature and derives great joy in being able to share the world of nature with others through his images.
Brad has used Nikon cameras and lenses exclusively for many years. Currently he is using Nikon’s state-of-the-art digital D800 camera and a suite of Nikkor telephoto and zoom high-performance AF-S lenses.
