Bob Johnson is an award-winning photographer and writer with nearly two decades of experience photographing the natural world.
He is the winner of the Best of Wildlife in the Northwest Exhibition of Environmental Art and is a longtime member of NANPA, the North American Nature Photography Association. He teaches photography and leads workshops for the
Mountaineers, a large outdoor organization based in Washington State. He is also active on many online photography discussion forums and is the webmaster for the
Nature Photographers of the Pacific Northwest.
Growing up across the West and Midwest afforded Bob the opportunity to see many of our national parks and other great landscapes. Now as a photographer, his aim is to capture those magical moments and vistas that remind us how special this earth's wild places are. He has written that by so doing he hopes to raise awareness and help preserve those places for future generations. He currently makes his home in Seattle, Washington, and does much of his work in and around the Pacific Northwest, although he does travel on occasion.
His work can be seen online at
www.earthboundlight.com as well as several other online galleries. His images are held in numerous private collections and are available both as stock and as fine-art prints.
