Where to start? Well, I’m a seventeen year old, born and raised in upstate New York. Since my childhood I’ve had an abiding love of photography, which has only grown with time. For my sixteenth birthday I received a DSLR, and all subsequent photography purchases have been made by me.
I have been lucky enough to visit both Alaska and Ecuador since I became serious about photography. I visited Alaska in the summer of 2008 with my family. We spent time at both the coast near Homer, and in Denali National Park.
Then, in the winter of 2008, I learned about the National Geographic Student Expeditions. After researching it further, I applied for the trip to Ecuador. While on this trip I was lucky enough to work with a photographer and the inventor of the critter cam, Greg Marshall. Ecuador offered the best photographic opportunities I’ve ever seen. The biodiversity is unrivaled, and the landscape is gorgeous.
