Cindy's interest in photography began more than three decades ago when she spent many summers hiking and backpacking in the National Parks of the U.S. Her travel and nature photography interests expanded as she participated as a volunteer for Earthwatch Institute in Brazil, Bolivia, Costa Rica and Kenya.
Now as a retired educator, she can devote much more of her time to nature and wildlife photography. Photography is a way for her to learn and understand more about the world around her and share her view with others. She currently lives in southwest Florida where she can take advantage of the varied birdlife to photograph and many creeks and rivers to paddle her canoe year-round. She returns to hike in the national parks of the western United States as often as she can. Kenya has become one of her favorite places to photograph and visit; she leads photo tours there annually. Recent publication credits include Earthwatch Institute, the Center for Rescue of Endangered Species of Trinidad and Tobago (CRESTT), N, the magazine of Naples, Fort Myers Magazine, and On Safar. Her photos have been included in the North America Nature Photography Association Members Showcase in 2006 and 2008. Her photos can be viewed and purchased at WildChild Gallery, Matlacha, FL, and Frame Designs, 9475 Loveland-Madeira, Cincinnati, OH.
