Christopher Jordan has been photographing the natural landscape for the past eight years. He specializes in the intimate and subtle landscapes of the Great Lakes region, Southeast and East. His photographic equipment includes both medium and large format cameras which allow him to better translate his visual impression of the natural world, particularly in terms of detail and texture.
Christopher and Ron Leonetti released their first book titled "Unexpected Indiana: A Portfolio of Natural Landscapes", in 2004, published by Indiana University Press. A second book, "The Nature Conservancy's Field Guide to Indiana Preserves", is also to be published by IU Press in the fall of 2006. Christopher's award-winning work has also been featured in SIERRA Magazine, "Previews" (the informational magazine of the Indianapolis Museum of Art) and in promotional materials for the Nature Conservancy and the Brown County (IN) Board of Tourism. His work resides in public and private collections across the US.
