I am a nature photographer based out the San Francisco Bay Area. My work focuses mainly on landscape and wildlife photography, where I try to photograph a unique artistic view of nature in all its drama and beauty.
I've been practicing photography for around nine years. Beginning with a 35mm film camera, the majority of my early work was comprised of documenting my backpacking trips into the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Since switching to a digital camera several years ago, I've been able to experiment and learn a great deal more, expanding my photographic subjects to include more than just landscapes. Over time, photography has become more than a tool to document my travels outdoors; photography has become an artistic outlet with which to communicate something about myself. While a good deal of my photography still consists of a documentary type of style, I find myself now more than ever reaching inside for an artistic expression before I compose a photograph.
