I've been shooting most of my life, being influenced by my artist/teacher father, Roy B. Ahlgren. I delved well into 35mm in the late 70's (and some medium format) and into the 80's, and have shot off and on from then until the 2000s. A year spent in Monterey and Carmel California in had expanded my view of the fine art in photography as I met Ansel Adams and visited the Weston Gallery. Also shot much of that historic (think Cannery Row by Steinbeck) and beautiful area. Went digital in 2002 and have not turned back since. What I try to capture is the common and unusual - things we all see, but in a different way.
