Hi and thanks for visiting my portfolio.
I am an avid bird photographer residing in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. Ontario provides a wide variety of avian photo opportunities. I hope to travel to some new destinations this year to expand my base of species photographed. I was introduced to bird photography by another local photographer I met on this site. since that first day I have never looked back. I never imagined what an enjoyable hobby avian photography would be. I am hoping to expand my interests into macro and landscape photography as well, but there seems to be a never ending array of birds in different locations and sitiuations to be photographed. Some people have asked me, "How come you have so many pictures of the same species?" My answer is that because, thay are all somewhat different from each other because of the lighting, the pose and or the location. This is what I find so intriguing is that you can really never take the same photo twice, kind of like snowflakes! I now know what I will be keeping myself busy with when I finally retire or at least semi retire. I have no real formal training in photography. I am self taught from practical experience and from the very friendly people here on NPN that are so willing to offer advice and share their secrets of successful photogrpahy with the people just beginning. I will certainly always offer my suggestions and hints to those who need it. Well, I guess thats it for now, nice chatting, I am off to take more pictures.....
Please enjoy my images and feel free to contact me with any questions about purchases.
Dave
