Welcome to my portfolio page. I am based out of Northwest Florida and I primarily shoot landscape and nature scenes. My portfolio is very diverse and contains images from all over the United States.
Most of my photos are taken at dawn or dusk during the best light of the day. The vivid colors you see in many of my photos are the result of shooting long exposures in soft light. Ninety-nine percent of my photos are single exposures. The exception is when I use a wide angle lens to take a landscape photo that includes the moon. I then have to shoot the moon with a longer focal length so that it is big enough to be seen. The other exception is for star trails photos. Sometimes I have to take multiple images in immediate succession to avoid excessive noise issues when shooting star trails. None of my photos are "HDR" images. If you are interested in learning advanced landscape photography techniques, I recommend reading "Nature Photography" and "Landscape Photography" by Tim Fitzharris and "The Ultimate Guide to Digital Nature Photography" by the Mountain Trail Photo Team.
