Fred Horne is an amateur photographer (i.e., he's keeping his day job but would rather not) who works mostly in the vicinity of the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge on Virginia's Eastern Shore. He concentrates on the various water and shore birds that make the area their home throughout the year.
