I am an amateur photographer living in Southern California. I have always had a passion for nature and the outdoors. I work as an entomologist and used to spend spring to fall roaming mountains and deserts collecting insects. These days I don't take the net out so much and prefer photographing nature instead. When I come back from a place I hope I have taken a photograph that is more than a snapshot and actually takes a person into the picture and they feel that they have been taken there.
