I took my first piture when I was about 7 years old after convincing my Dad to buy me some film for an old B & W Agfa camera I had found at home.
For two days I stalked some of young rabbits in a nearby field and got to within feet of them to take my shots. I was of course devastated when the developed results were nowhere near the expectations from my images in the view finder (or in my head!).
Since then have I maintained a variable interest in photography. During university I studied geology & earth science and had the oppurtunity to re-visit my interest in photography as it was very much part of the work. However, with the advent of digital photgraphy I slowly started to really get into nature photography. My main interest is in macro work, nature and landscapes. I work as an environmental consultant in the area of environmental managment and edcuation and travel quite a bit with work. This allows me to indulge my pursuit of some day catching the perfect shot.
Thanks for taking the time to stop in and have a look.
Take it easy
