Jim DeWitt is a birder and avian photographer based in interior Alaska. In addition to Alaska species, he photographs North American and Neotropical species. Like the birds, he migrates south for the worst of the winter, although he doesn't get to stay away as long.
He is a contributing author to "A Birder's Guide to Alaska," recorder for the Fairbanks Christmas Bird Count, member of the Board of Trustees for Alaska Conservation FOundation and occasional contributor to Nature Photographers Network's on-line magazine.
