I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Northern Italy. I am currently working on a long-term project to photograph flora and landscapes of Italy's Apennine mountains throughout the seasons interspersed with various trips to locations further afield. Recent trips include the American Southwest in 2008, Namibia in 2009, two trips to Iceland (2007 and 2009) and most recently a week in Portugal (2010). I am fascinated by volcanic landscapes and wilderness areas in general and always look for simple but compelling viewpoints, especially using wide angle and fisheye lenses. My next major planned trip is a 3-week cycling/photography tour across Iceland in August 2010.
I continued to use slide film up until 2007 (Nikon F4, Velvia, scanned with Nikon Coolscan 5000 scanner) but switched to digital for my first trip to Iceland, buying a Nikon D200. I now use a Canon 5D Mk II.
