Keep it simple.
If I had to choose a single philosophy to follow in photography, that would be it. Keep it simple, natural and real. Whatever the subject matter – whether shooting nature or family photography – I try to remain true to that.
My true passion began in 1998 when I first began studying the art of photography. The first assignment in my black & white photo course at Oakland Community College (Michigan) was the study of Detroit architecture. I “borrowed” my Stepfather’s Minolta Maxxum 7000 for class and couldn’t seem to put it down. From learning photography composition basics, to the technical and sometimes tedious details of finessing a print in the darkroom, I fell in love with photography.
Much of my nature photography has been shot in and around the state of Michigan. The natural beauty in the surrounding woodlands and lakes inspires me beyond end. I also enjoy photographing families and children professionally.
I currently shoot with a digital Sony Alpha 10D SLR.
