Lori Kincaid's photographs of the Southern Appalachians are inspired by a life-long study of nature and the beauty of the environment surrounding her home high in the mountains along the Tennessee-North Carolina state line. Lori uses her 4X5 view camera to capture the cycle of the seasons and her 35 mm camera system to photograph close-ups of the fine, intricate details of nature. Her work has been published by National Geographic and the U.S. Forest Service, among others, and in books, magazines, calendars, and brochures.
