I left my native Central Florida in the early '70's after the apparent invasion of a large, three-fingered, cartoon rodent named "Mickey". East Tennessee was the destination where I earned the much prized and always lucrative, Bachelor of Studio Art degree. During this time and between painting, printmaking, and pottery, I became the photographer for the school newspaper and the darkroom became a second home.
Chemical trays to digital files...film to computers. The "how" of photography has vastly changed over the decades for me, but the love of capturing the color, line, and beauty of the world around us hasn't. I’ve found over the years that I have begun to look for simpler images that display great line and bold color.
I also work with select clients on graphic design projects. This means I speak the language of layout, print, and publishing professionals. Files can be sent as attachments or sent on the media of your choice. I'll be happy to work with you on custom pixel dimensions, dpi print specs, color profiles (multipule rgb's or custom cymk), formats (.jpg, .tiff, .pdf, .psd, .dng, .indd, .ia, ect.. or the format of your choice).
I share my life with my wife Kathy, an artist and gallery owner, plus our three alarmingly large and lazy cats. Thanks for viewing the images and feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding image license or assignment.
