Preston Birdwell's work concentrates on the Sierra Nevada Mountains and their environs, of California. He is a long-time photographer, living in the town of Columbia near Yosemite National Park.
Preston has won awards for his work at the Tuolumne County Fair, Columbia College Juried Art Show, and recently "Editors Pick" awards from the Nature Photographers Network On-line Magazine. He has also had three one-man shows in his home area.
Preston uses a 4x5 camera, and shoots color transparency films, primarily. He also uses a Nikon digital camera and Nikon lenses.
