The camera captures light - the photographer captures the image.
Diane is pleased to share her portfolio of fine art and nature imagery on this site. Having spent many years shooting the peak action in the world of sports, Diane now concentrates on documenting the earth's wild places and creatures that she cherishes. Photography serves as a wonderful tool to express that love of nature. It is a special thrill to share with the viewer that magical moment in time when light plays on the landscape, creating shapes, shadows and texture. From dynamic vistas to intimate wildlife portraits, Diane hopes that the viewer of her work can share the same emotions that she experienced when observing the scenes or wildlife through the lens and can appreciate the value of nature.
Diane is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), National Parks Conservation Association (NCPA), and several natural history associations. She has studied under Arthur Morris, premier bird and nature photographer, Robert Turner, top landscape photographer, and Lonnie Brock of the Nature Workshops, among others. She now shoots exclusively in digital format and exhibits her work as fine art prints, as well as producing stock photo images for editorial and commercial usage.
Diane's images are dedicated to her grandparents who instilled in her an appreciation for the wonders of the natural world.
