Paige grew up in the foothills of the western mountains of Maine and began taking photographs with a plastic 110 camera purchased from the local drug store.
One day, digging through her parents slide collection, she discovered a Minolta 35mm SLR...not that she had any idea what it was at the time... tucked behind the slide projector. After harassing her father into explaining the device to her, she fell head over heals in love with it.
Following graduation college in 1993(With a BA in English, what else?), she spend time living in AZ and MT before moving to Western North Carolina in 1994 to photograph whitewater rafts on the Nantahala River. There she meet several wonderful nature photographers and began to sell her personal work on the side.
She has been published in Our Town, Cooking Light, Duke Magazine, The NOC Intructors Catalog and NOC Outfitter's Store Catalog, has the cover shot of the book A Playboaters Guide to the Ocoee River, and has shown work at Blue Spiral One and The Swain Center for The Arts regional galleries.
As a displaced yankee, she finds grand amusement in tramping about the Smokies looking for winter shots, but the spring and summer wildflower extravaganzas keep her happy in the south.
She has recently begun fiddling with her website in ernest and has taken the plunge into the world of photo-notecards. Each notecard is handmade of acid-free archival recycled/sugarcane paper with a recycled paper envelope to compliment!
