I’m a Spokane, Washington based amateur photographer who began his enthusiastic love of photography back in 1968. At that time, my father loaned me his Minolta film camera when I traveled to Europe with the “Student-to-Student” Ambassador program.
Since then, there were many years my attention was focused on college and graduate school with little time for photography. Next came a full time job, relocating to a new city, and later returning to Spokane.
I slowly regained my interest in photography about 10 years ago with the purchase of a Nikon D70. After reading about everything I could on photography, I decided I needed some one-on-one professional assistance to move forward. I signed up for a one day workshop with Mike Hagen who at the time, resided in Vancouver, Washington. Currently, Mike is responsible for the Nikonians formal photography training program in North America and is the Nikonians Academy Director.
Currently, I work full time at a job I love. For me, there is never enough time in a week to go out and shoot with my Nikon D300 as much as I’d like. My focus is on macro, macro nature and landscape photography.
